Working around the world
Since 1998, Christian Freedom International has served persecuted Christians in high-risk countries.
CFI first worked in Sudan then shifted focus to Burma, building field hospitals in Burma and schools in refugee camps in Thailand. Our work grew to other high-risk countries, now spanning Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
In 2004, CFI built a school on the border of Burma. In 2011, it was transformed from a children’s school into a Bible and vocational school.
When the U.S. welcomed Karen refugees, CFI renovated a motel in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, into a community for refugee families. At the Freedom Inn, Christian refugees assimilated to their new country. By 2020, the children had graduated, adults found jobs, bought houses, and earned U.S. citizenship. Freedom Inn’s mission was accomplished.
Today CFI works in numerous countries to provide persecuted Christians with aid for urgent needs and to equip for their future.

Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity and humanity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe salvation is a free gift of God not based on works and is received through faith in Christ’s finished work on the cross as payment for our sin.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved, to eternal life, and the lost, to eternal punishment.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and we believe that all people are equal before God and made in His image.
President / CEO
Wendy Wright serves as president of Christian Freedom International, and chief advocate for persecuted Christians and those serving them.
The gripping stories of persecuted Christians strongly influenced her worldview since she first learned of them as a teen. They have motivated her to stand, speak, and act for Biblical principles.
They also prepared her for the fierce opposition she faced for defending innocent lives and moral standards. She was twice sentenced to six months in jail for praying.
Her work over the years to rescue and protect “the least of these” has inspired others and influenced U.S. laws, Supreme Court decisions, and international policies.
Wendy formerly served as president of Concerned Women for America and was named one of “The 100 Most Powerful Women of Washington” by Washingtonian Magazine in 2006.

CFI is a dedicated team of Christians with a passion to serve persecuted Christians. We keep our expenses and overhead low to focus funding directly for persecuted Christians.
