Where We Work

We work with courageous Christians who live in or have fled from nations experiencing severe persecution.
To safeguard them against potential threats due to their association with us, we take rigorous measures to protect their identities. In certain instances, we are unable to disclose the specific countries involved.
Bangladesh
Bangladesh is a perilous place for Christian converts. Believers who leave Islam or Buddhism face shunning, beatings, their property stolen, and false criminal accusations. CFI provides sponsorships for children and pastors, Bibles and Bible training, medical and legal aid, outreaches to the blind and disabled, and safe houses for Christians fleeing persecution.
Burma
Burma’s ruling military violently attacks ethnic-minority Christians. CFI’s Victory Bible Academy is a school for persecuted Christians from Burma. Students are trained in Biblical leadership and skills to serve others and earn a living. Staff and students do outreaches to migrants in Thailand and missions in Burma.
Egypt
Egypt’s Christians have experienced persecution and martyrdom for centuries. Many live in Garbage City, a neighborhood in Cairo, where they collect and sort the city’s waste. CFI provides child sponsorships (monthly support for basic needs) for Christians in Garbage City and care packages for Christian families in urgent need.
Nigeria
Nigeria is undergoing an “Islamic war of expansion”. More Christians are killed each year by Islamic militants in Nigeria than every other country combined. The government’s inaction creates suspicion that authorities are complicit. Islamists kidnap, loot, rape, destroy villages, and massacre Christians. CFI provides child sponsorships for children whose families were brutally attacked, entrepreneurship for widows, and supports a recovery center for young adult survivors of massacres.
North Korea
North Korea outlaws Christianity and imprisons, tortures, and executes Christians. The totalitarian country is charged with committing “crimes against humanity”. CFI provides shelters and Bibles for people escaping North Korea and Gospel radio broadcasts into the hermit kingdom and neighboring countries.
Pakistan
Pakistan fails to protect Christians from abuses. False accusations of “blasphemy” lead to life imprisonment and death sentences. Mobs beat Christians, destroy churches, loot and burn homes. Christian girls are kidnapped, raped, and forcibly converted and married to Muslim men. CFI provides child sponsorships for Christians in debt bondage in brickyards, job training for Christian women from slums, and emergency aid in crises.
Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka’s deadly church bombings on Easter in 2019 exposed a rise in militant religious groups and hostility. Christians are pelted with rocks, harassed by officials, and their livelihoods destroyed. Buddhist monks invade and incite people to attack churches, beat pastors, and insist churches shut down. CFI provides security cameras, livelihoods, Bibles, and school resources for children.
Thailand
Thailand is where many Christians flee from persecution to seek asylum and resettlement to another country. CFI’s school for refugees from Burma trains in Biblical leadership. CFI also helps Pakistani Christian refugees to survive in the shadows in Bangkok through sponsorships that provide essential items and encouragement.
At Christian Freedom International we care about each one of those who are persecuted.
Our mission is to bring relief through practical support and prayer, and to advocate on behalf of the oppressed.
